Written Word

think208

This week lets use 1 word in our art. You can use it once, or 100 times. One thing I want you to do though, is before you get any preconceived ideas about what you’re going to do for the art part of it, pick your word first. Then let your word guide your art. Maybe do a background first and add your word and then find the rest of it. This piece here is done with acrylic paints and while the paint was still wet, I took a rubber tipped painting stick and wrote the word think. It’s not fully obvious that it says think but you can tell when you really look at it.

Whats This All About

Each week a new challenge will be posted. Your task is to then go create!!! When you're done, upload a photo of it to your own blog or website. Then post a comment here with a link to your photo so that we can all see what you've created. WARNING: THIS IS A FLOURISH FREE ZONE!!!!! I love flourishes just as much as the next artist, heck, I've even got one tattooed on the top of my left foot. However, flourishes seem to be IN everyone's box these days. Since this is an OUT of your box challenge, lets refrain from using them for these challenges.
